The Hobbit trilogy is considered one of the best fantasy movies. Directed by Peter Jackson, this trilogy was as successful as The Lord of the Rings, if not more, but it did not receive as much positive feedback. If you plan to watch The Lord of the Rings, I recommend starting with The Hobbit, as the stories are connected, making the experience more enjoyable.
